Full-Time Position as a SQL Server DBA in Parsippany, NJ

The SQL Server DBA team, will be responsible for administration and maintenance of all production database servers. This includes administration and maintenance of all SQL servers, trouble-shoot specific SQL Server bugs and errors, supporting all development efforts, and provide on-call support during off hours and weekends.

Requirements:
• 4+ years experience as SQL Server DBA.
• Experience in MS SQL Server installation and configuration.
• Strong understanding of major components of SQL SERVER architecture.
• Knowledge of SQL Server Net- library Architecture.
• Ability to resolve various network connectivity issues and problems.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Replication.
• Experience in data modeling.
• Experience with VLDB (400 gig)
• Experience in setting up and maintenance of SQL Server 2000.
• Strong development skills (i.e., using stored proc, triggers, etc) for the purpose of development support.
• Performance monitoring and optimizing experience using Windows Performance Monitor and SQL Server Profiler.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving various site performance issues and tuning.
• Understanding and basic administration of NT and Windows platforms.
• Ability to provide 24x7 support.
• Manage Security for various production servers.
• Ability to design and implement disaster recovery.
• Backup and restore strategy involving complete database backup/restore, transaction log backup/restore.
Preferred skills include:
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Cluster architecture.
• Experience with DBARTISAN Change Manger a schema comparison tool.
• Experience with Visual Source Safe (VSS) for version control.
• Experience with ERWIN for data modeling and system design.

Develop database configuration, naming convention, and access method standards ·Support developers data retrieval needs, including reporting needs and SQL tuning
