NJ SQL Developer Position

Infragistics empowers developers to build great application user interfaces for the JSF, Windows Forms, ASP.NET, and WPF platforms, and additionally offers user interface test tools, support, training and consulting services.

Essential Duties

  • Work with a team to design and deliver high performance applications that rely on a distributed client/server architecture
  • Build applications with  complex database design including multiple related tables, views, keys, indexes, and stored procedures
  • Model databases with SQL or Visio. Build front-end applications with .NET Framework
  • Design web pages with DHTML/CSS/JavaScript; work with third party design tools and controls
  • Work with source control and issue tracking; apply exception handling globally; work with Microsoft Building Blocks
  • Create multiple “complex” reports using a reporting product like Microsoft Reporting Services or Crystal Reports

Knowledge/Experience/Skills

  • Very strong background in SQL Server.  Solid/Advanced understanding of T-SQL, Stored Procedures, User Defined Functions, etc. Can apply DML to SQL Server; can administer, tune, and troubleshoot SQL Server databases
  • Can create clear and attractive reports; SQL Reporting Services experience a plus
  • Understands  how to design databases for highly scalable and distributed applications.
  • Understands database security and requirements for highly accurate access to data Analysis Services (data warehousing) and Business Intelligence experience a plus
  • Understands multi-tier enterprise applications, built middle-tier components and web services
  • Can create clear and attractive forms in ASP.NET, WinForms, and mobile technologies .NET Framework skills in C#, understanding of Visual Basic.NET; Familiar with COM; must understand object oriented approach; web services background useful; knowledge of C++ useful
  • Understands team development; uses source control products like SourceSafe; clearly annotates and documents code; understands exception handling; can develop and apply unit tests; researches and delivers alternative solutions
  • Understands basic accounting and data integration processes; Microsoft CRM and Great Plains experience helpful
  • Can organize information; builds clear and attractive interfaces
