Responsibilities:
Systems Deployment, Maintenance, and Production Support of Client-server and Web-based Systems, ·Participate in all activities that compromise the System Life Cycle.
Management of Applications.
Development of Application Deployment; Change Management; and. Security Policies & Standards.
Evaluate, recommend and test new procedures, software, and hardware to support the IIS/SQL Server Environment.
Monitor databases to optimize performance, resource use, and physical implementation.
Monitor and maintain database, web server, and application security in cooperation with security administrator.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Competencies:
3+ years experience with SQL Server 2000 - Installation & Configuration, Automating Tasks, Backup & Restore, Data Transformation Services, Databases, Index Tuning, Tuning Fillfactors, Detecting Blocking, Locking & Deadlocks, Multiple Server Environment, Performance Tuning, Security.
oInstallation and Configuration: Windows 2K/XP, Windows 2K/2K3 Server.
Knowledge:
SQL Server Filegroup Configuration, Transact SQL Scripting, and SQL Profiler.
Relational Databases and Service Oriented Architecture.
ODBCAD32.exe and TCP/IP Protocol, and IIS Configuration.
Trouble shooting websites running on IIS6, Memory Bottlenecks, and Disk Paging at the OS Level.
Preferences:
Any experience with SQL 2K5, .Net, Data Warehouse Design & Implementation, Rational Rose, Statistics, or Professional Certification.
Salary Range:
$80-100K+ (dependent upon credentials and experience).
