Application Architecture | Understands multi-tier enterprise applications. Understands separation of logic between tiers (Front, Middle, Back) | Built client/server applications with SQL Server backend. |
Development Methodology | Understands team development; uses source control products like SourceSafe; clearly annotates and documents code; understands exception handling; can develop and apply unit tests; researches and delivers alternative solutions | Worked in team environments with source control and issue tracking; applied exception handling globally; worked with Microsoft Building Blocks |
Database Development | Solid background in databases and SQL Server. Strong understanding of T-SQL, Stored Procedures, User Defined Functions, etc. Can apply DML to SQL Server; can administer, tune, and troubleshoot SQL Server databases; Understanding of designing databases for highly scalable and distributed applications. Understanding of database security and requirements for highly accurate access to data. Analysis Services (data warehousing) and Business Intelligence experience a plus | Built a client/application with a complex database design including multiple related tables, views, keys, indexes, and stored procedures; Modelled databases with SQL or Visio; creation of cubes is a plus. |
