Topic:  SQL Server Spatial Development

Topic Summary:

In this session we'll discuss how to develop for SQL Server spatial data in detail, including specifics about interfacing with third party mapping tools (i.e. Bing Maps), using the spatial data type methods to perform spatial calculations, and properly indexing spatial data. 

Bio:

Michael Coles is a Microsoft MVP (SQL) with over 15 years experience designing and building SQL Server databases and SQL-centric business solutions. A prolific writer on all aspects of SQL Server, particularly on the expert use of T-SQL, he has authored dozens of published articles and several books including "Pro T-SQL 2008 Programmer's Guide", "Expert SQL Server 2008 Encryption", and "Accelerated SQL Server 2008".
